I am sitting here enjoying my latest kitchen experiment and decided to do something I haven’t tried yet and share my recipe for these cookies!

I cannot take full credit for these gems though as I did adapt this recipe from our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, and to be honest, I am not even entirely sure where that one originated from… But the Halloween rendition of the cookies turned out so well, (and since quite a few people have asked…) I decided to share them here.
Halloween Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients and Procedure;
–> You can start by chopping up your desired Halloween Chocolates into bit size (not bite,) pieces. I used Hersheys’ milk chocolate, special dark, krakle and Mr. Goodbars. You’ll want somewhere from 1 1/2 to 2 cups of chocolate chunks (or maybe even up to 2 1/2 or 3 cups if you prefer the chocolate with a little bit of cookie kind…)
{{It was the Mr. Goodbar decision that prompted me to make these into a peanut butter and assorted chocolates cookies…}}
–> Preheat the oven to 350* F
- 3/4 cups salted Butter, (softened)
- 1 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
- 2/3 cups Granulated Sugar
–> Cream butter and sugars together, then add;
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
–> When all of the above ingredients are nicely blended, switch attachments to that one that looks like a triangle all sectioned out… I call it my cookie attachment. (Just looked it up- it’s called a flat beater. You’re welcome.)
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
–> Add dry ingredients into your mixture and beat until combined and cohesive (don’t I sound all recipe-official and stuff!) When the dough is good and mixed, lastly add in your Halloween Chocolate bits.
–> Spoon batter onto an un-greased cookie sheet (I use a silicone baking mat on mine,) and bake for 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack and devour at your own discretion.
(The cookies may not look done, but take them out of the oven once the edges are looking a little bit golden. Once you move them to a cooling rack and wait a minute or two, they’ll look just right.)
And that’s my Halloween Peanut Butter Assorted Chocolate Cookies recipe!
